John D. Kennedy, 83, of Lawrenceburg, Indiana, died Sunday, February 21, 2010.

He was born Friday, August 13, 1926, in Columbus, OH, son of the late Daniel and Lessie (Stauss) Kennedy.

He served his country in the US Navy.

He was a member and past treasurer of the Knights of Columbus, past treasurer of RSVP, lifelong member of St Lawrence Catholic Church, former Dearborn County Councilman, former Lawrenceburg Township trustee, and member of the American Legion, David McAllister Post #239.

He worked as a Production Control Supervisor for Fernald.

He is survived by his loving wife, Patricia; 3 daughters, Debbie Kennedy, Jackie (husband Bruce) Gibson, and Susan (husband Randy) Block; 4 grandchildren, Matthew Kennedy, Brad Gibson, Ian Bock, and Rachel Block.

He was preceded in death by his son, Danny, and his sister Rose Ann.

Friends will be received Wednesday, February 24, 2010 from 10am to 12noon at the St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Lawrenceburg, Indiana.

Funeral services will be held at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Wednesday, February 24, 2010 at 12noon with Father Peter Gallagher officiating.

Interment will follow in the Greendale Cemetery, Greendale, Indiana.

Contributions may be made to the St Lawrence Church or St Lawrence School.
